A letter from the creator

Hi friend,

My heart is full knowing you're here. If you've ever felt like an outsider in your own life, misunderstood, or like something was fundamentally wrong with you, I need you to know this: there is nothing wrong with you, you are not broken, and it does get better. I promise. I'm living proof.

I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression at 14, though I'd been feeling that way long before it was given a name. For years, I didn't understand what was happening inside me. I just knew it felt incredibly heavy and lonely. Some days felt impossible to get through, and I carried it quietly because I didn't know another way. Nothing I was given or tried ever seemed to help.

I carried that heaviness into adulthood. Even though my life looked nice from the outside, I still felt this dark pit within. One day, everything I'd been carrying finally caught up with me. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a nervous system disorder, while caring for a newborn and a three-year-old at home. I knew then that things had to change, so I finally took my health into my own hands.

I immersed myself in learning about the nervous system, emotions, and how the subconscious mind shapes so much of who we are without us even realizing it. I stopped trying to outrun my body and started listening to it. I began embodying the practices I was studying. The chronic pain I had carried for 15 years finally released its grip, life began to feel lighter and for the first time in my life, I felt safe and at home in my body.

I began teaching what I had learned in the simplest words I could find, the way I wish someone had taught me.

Working with clients of all ages, I realized this was never just my story. It's the story of so many of us, especially our youth: feeling everything deeply while understanding so little about why.

Originally inspired by my work with a 14-year-old client diagnosed with autism, I created InnerWeathr to be a simple way to teach emotional and nervous system awareness and provide quick access to simple and proven regulation tools right when you need them most. This app is everything I wish I had available in my pocket years ago.

Welcome to InnerWeathr. I pray this space helps you understand your emotions, feel safer in your body, and find your way back to a life that feels more like your own.
